Christmas Tree Pictures

I got McKade dressed up in his Christmas outfit and wanted to get some pics of him sitting up in front of the tree. He is still learning to balance himself while sitting up so I had to catch him several times when he would tip over, I only missed once and he konked his head but just smiled and didn't cry. Anyways this one Paul had just walked in the room and he got this huge smile. Nothing can compare to these huge smiles we get from him when he is excited to see us. Here are a few pictures that I got of him. So funny. We are having dinner with Paul's family tonight and we can't wait to see what McKade thinks of opening presents tomorrow. I'm sure all he will be interested in will be the paper. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and gets to enjoy family and good times. Merry Christmas.

Little cheeser grin!!!!

So big sitting up all by himself.

This pic is hysterical, he knows that when I get the camera out and the red eye indicator starts to flash he has learned that he will soon be blinded by the flash so almost every time he will squint preparing for flash, so funny that I caught this right at this time. More pictures to come after all the fuss of Christmas is over.

Where did the last 6 months go??????

Six months used to seem like a long time, that is until I had a baby. I can't believe that it has been six months since we had this sweet little boy. I know six months of pregnancy didn't go this fast (even if I felt great). Our lives have changed so much but I don 't really remember how it was to not have McKade around. He has been such a blessing and so fun to have around and I can't wait to see what the next six months bring.
We finally got a high chair and he seems to really like it. It's a great place to put him when I cook.
Because if I don't have a place to put him he tries to help me out a little too much. I was trying to put the noodles away the other night and he had a death grip on the bag. (He's only in a diaper because he had pooped through this clothes and was going to have a bath anyways, we're not white trash.)
We started rice cereal this week and he really likes it, problem is that his poor little belly hasn't really liked it too much. Tuesday night the poor little boy didn't sleep very well and kept waking up crying and was so gassy. Finally after some mylicon drops and some rocking/cuddling he went back to sleep, only for me to have to get up 2 hours later to go to work. We held off giving him any more cereal until he has his 6 month physical this coming week so I can talk to his pediatrician. We weren't over feeding him the cereal I don't think but I just think his belly was just having a hard time adjusting to digesting this new food.

Usually McKade really likes his swing which has been great for when we are getting ready. This day he had enough of it and was determined to try to turn over/contort his little body in the swing. Funny thing was that after he did this he started to cry because he had himself stuck and couldn't get back. He really is a stubborn boy and determined to do just what he has set his mind out to do. If he sees something he wants he will work so hard to reach it, it's really funny to watch. Just a glimpse of what his personality will be like when he is grown. Oh no, another stubborn person just like his daddy :). I'm in for it.

The other day when I was shopping I found this cute Christmas globe that sings Christmas songs, McKade loved it. He will watch it for about 10 seconds than tries to eat it. On another note he is finally strong enough to push himself up on his arms. I have really tried not to compare him to my friend's babies close in age to him but it is really hard not to. Anyways he is making progress and getting stronger everyday and I'm sure before I know it he will be walking all over. I'll keep my little immobile baby for now thank you.

Oh Christmas Tree......

Paul is so set on us keeping up the tradition of going out and cutting down our own Christmas tree, it really is fun but sometimes it would be easy to have a fake one with the lights all ready on. Anyways we took McKade on his first Christmas tree hunting trip, it was so cold but that's ok, he ended up being "Ralphy" on The Christmas Story. We found a tree (which is yet to be put up in our house, it's still sitting outside because we have been too busy to get it inside, I know we are lame huh.) Anyways here are a few pics from our outing.

Can you say hat hair??????
Mommy and her little man.

And here is the little man in his snow suit. It's still a little big but it kept him so warm. Funny huh. I thought he would protest all the bundling with the hat and stuff but he humored me and was so good through it all. Thank you Uncle Rudy and Aunt Misty for the gift, will be perfect for this spring up at Scofield when Paul introduces McKade to snowmobiling. Oh dear!!!!!!
Can't wait to get the tree up and decorated to see what McKade thinks of all of it. Should be a fun Christmas. Hope everyone is well and keeping warm, nothing like an abrupt change from the nice long fall to the subartic winter huh.
