2 months old?????

We had McKade's 2 month check up and immunizations today, so sad. He is growing like a weed.

23 inches long (19 inches at birth)

10 lb 13 oz (7lb 3 oz at birth)

Apparently he is getting enough to eat. All went well with his check up, we did a follow up EKG to follow up the one done at birth and it will be sent to Primary Childrens for them to review with the one done at birth but the doctor still didn't hear the murmur he had at birth so all is well. Poor little guy had to get 3 shots and wasn't impressed at all with this. Below is the after effects of the shots and tylenol.

It's been 3 hours since his appointment and I have been to the hospital for his EKG which he slept through and is still sleeping right now. Going to have to wake him up to eat before I explode though. Maybe we will get a little more sleep tonight :) if he isn't too fussy. I still can't believe our little guy is all ready 2 months old. Everyone tells you that this time will fly by but I didn't realize just how fast it would go until we started to live it. He is such a little sweet boy and only cries when hungry, poopy or tired and he has stolen our hearts. I don't even remember what life was like without him. We love you little man!!!!

Baby blues!!!

Not a great picture but this shows that his eyes are going to definately be blue??? Funny that niether of us have blue eyes. So much for hoping he would get Paul's coloring, he's blonde hair (for now) and blue eyed. Poor kid looks like he may be destined to be a whitey like his mama, so sad.

Firsts.......

Yes that is Paul feeding the babe, cute huh. We needed to start introducing a bottle to make sure he will do fine when I go back to work and he has done great so far. Paul was so worried he was holding him wrong but I think they will do just fine together when I go to work. So sad that I only have until the middle of September than will be back to work, I can't believe how fast it's gone.

This was one of the first time I put him under the little play gym he has. He likes it for short periods of time and just stares at the mirror. The ears on the monkey make a crinkly noise and he stretches out and wiggles them, not on purpose I'm sure but he likes the noise. He's getting so big, it's amazing how fast they grown and learn.

Newborn pictures

My very talented sister in law took newborn pictures for us when McKade was almost 2 weeks old. It was such a great experience and I'm so glad we were able to capture him at this stage because he is growing and changing so fast. Everyone tells you that this will happen but you just don't realize it until it happens to you. McKade was so great during the pictures and didn't pee on us until it came time for him to have pics with daddy and he peed down Paul's side (good boy, ha ha.) Anyways here are a few of these pictures for your enjoyment because isn't he the cutest baby ever (of course we would think so.) Paul's birthday

July 8th

It was Paul's birthday this day and we had dinner, cake and ice cream at his mother's house. What a cute daddy eating his cake while holding his little boy. He had sort of a lame birthday this year, he had to work all day so he didn't really get much of a chance to relax until in the evening. McKade is getting big and we are adjusting to his schedule and once we think we have a routine he changes it but that's all a part of being parents I guess, all worth it.
